Semi-Annual Profile Review August 2017

As of this year, the Semi-Annual Profile Review will be conducted by client request only. The Semi-Annual Profile Review deadline is Thursday, August 31 2017.

This means that your Artist and/or Applicant profile will only be reviewed by FACTOR if you choose to update your profiles AND click on Request Review. If you do not Request Review by August 31 11:59pm PST, your profile will not be reviewed and your Artist Rating will remain the same.

It’s very important to note that artist and applicant ratings can go up or stay the same, but cannot go down once this review is completed. The ratings issued at the Annual Profile Review (effective April 1 2017) will be valid until April 1 2018.
Artists:
Artists currently rated General and 2 should update if they want to be considered for a higher rating. Check the table of snapshot scores for Artists 2 and 3 to see if you have achieved or are approaching these scores for the next rating. If so, we recommend updating your Artist Profile and requesting a review.

Artists currently rated 3 should NOT update, as ratings cannot go down at the Semi-Annual Review.

Notes on the Additional Information section of your artist profile:
Social Media Presence – FACTOR will pull Facebook likes, Twitter followers, and YouTube streams directly from Nielsen Music Connect. Please ensure that this section has the artists correct Facebook and Twitter URL’s, otherwise no further action is required.

Applicants:
Eligible Music Companies should update if they want to advance to a company rating of 2 or 3. These ratings provide access to Business Travel funding in the Support for Eligible Music Companies program, as well as the lower tier of the Comprehensive Music Company program for record labels. Check the rating one-sheets for details on the requirements for each rating.

Note for General Artists: If you wish to maintain your General Rating, no action is required for this review deadline. However, please note that if you only provide Mandatory Information, the highest rating you can receive is General Artist. You can choose to provide further information toward your rating under the Additional Information menu if you wish to submit your profile for review at this time.

About your artist rating:

Artist ratings are determined by comparing the Additional Information values provided across all the artist profiles in our system. The top-scoring artist profiles will be assigned a rating of Artist 3 or Artist 2 based on how many artists FACTOR can fund at that level.

Remember that FACTOR’s rating system is competitive. You can view sample scores for Artists 2 and 3 from the last profile review deadline on our Profile & Ratings for Artists page at the bottom of the page. These sample values show actual data submitted by artists under each section Additional Information section. Remember that these values shift after each deadline.
